I’ve uploaded a new version of the demo of the game 99 species, with a new soundtrack and the video to make it more lightweight:

I’ve also changed the instructions in the post about the Android version. Now you can easily install it from a computer and from your own android device without using a computer:

Free game to Supports the campaign

Sunday, February 7th, 2016 by woppercyb

In 1998 I created my first game, InfraHacker, a platform game:

I have taken a decision to encourage you to support our campaign, to gift it to anyone who supports our crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter (not our pre-campaign), succeed in or not, just for being our backer! So, as it sounds, for free 🙂

Watch the video

So now you have no excuse for not supporting us: If we fail crowdfunding campaign you do not spend you money and you get a free game (in English or Spanish). And if the crowdfunding campaign is a success you get two for the price of one, plus the rewards of your level.

So, what are you waiting for support us? 😉

Yes, I want to be your backer!

Demo on PSP

Sunday, January 24th, 2016 by woppercyb

To install the demo on PSP, the console must be modified, something which we do not recommend from here and could be dangerous. But if you have it modified, following the instructions in this video you can easily install the “port” for PSP and enjoy our demo and all games for the machine of ScummVM.

And we are not going to continue checking other operating systems, we are confident the creators of the “ports”, we are confident that if the requirements of each “port” in terms of versions and platforms are respected, it will work. The demo and the game are, with the help of third parties, multiplatform 😉

Demo in Linux systems

Saturday, January 23rd, 2016 by woppercyb

As I mentioned in a previous post, we have been pleasantly surprised that when programming the game with the AGS tool, which in principle is to develop games for the Windows operating system, there are different plugins, known here by the name of “ports” for a lot of operating systems and supports.

And in most cases there is nothing to do in our code to work. Just follow the instructions to install the “port” to the desired system et voila! Our game is multiplatform and will be available for Windows, Android, iOS, Linux, Mac OSX and PSP.

However, as we warned, we only guarantee correct operation on Windows operating systems. For other systems and platforms will work or not based on the creators of the respective “ports”. But as we explained in the post of “Installing the demo on Android“, we will try to make an effort to work on other platforms. In the case of Android it was to create a subfolder called “Compiled” where to put the game files. It’s that simple.

What do you need to do to install the demo and future game on other platforms?

Nothing simpler to go to the AGS program donwload page and follow the instructions provided for each platform.

Android we already showed how to do it in his day. And for Linux we’ve tried it following the instructions on this page:

We installed it on a Ubuntu 14, by typing in the terminal the following instructions:

sudo apt-get install git debhelper build-essential pkg-config
 libaldmb1-dev libfreetype6-dev libtheora-dev libvorbis-dev
git clone git://
 cd ags
make --directory=Engine
sudo make --directory=Engine install

Then copy the demo in a folder on the hard disk and type:

ags 99Especies.exe

And to play!

It is very simple to install the demo of our game ‘99 species‘ on android systems. You just follow the following steps.

1 – Download AGS Stream plugin for android systems for free by clicking the following link:

2. Once installed we will open this App and click the “AGS” button and then click the ‘Download’ button to install the emulator of AGS games on your device:

3a – Using a Personal Computer: After the above operation, you will have to download the demo version android which is located at this link and save it to your computer. You must create in your android device a folder, for example called “Games” and after, inside this folder, other called “99Species”. Unzip the file in your computer and copy the folder called “Compiled” in this “Games” folder in your android device:

3b – From an android device:  You must created with an App like “File Manager” a folder, for example called “Games” and after, inside this folder, other called “99Species” and after, inside this folder, other called “Compiled”. Download each file in this link and save in the “Compiled” folder:

4 – Open the App “AGS” and from the menu choose the option “Select game folder” to tell him where you will find the game that you want to reload, 99Especies, where you have saved it. It will open a screen that will show us a folder called compiled. If we click on it the game will start. Enjoy the demo!

Here you can see me with the demo running on my Nexus 5:

Secret level in the demo

Sunday, January 17th, 2016 by woppercyb

So yes, lol, I had prepared a surprise in the demo, a challenge: a secret level, you will be able to find it?

This is just a preview of what us you will be prepared if we develop the game. Alternative paths not described in the novel, secret levels and puzzles to solve, all in order to save the planet and the human species. Do not feel you like already beginning this adventure?

Support of the game on other platforms

Sunday, January 17th, 2016 by woppercyb

Our initial idea was to develop the game in Windows platforms, using the well known AGS (Adventure Game Studio) tool. And for them we have requested a certain amount of money.

But we have come to realize that with certain external plugins may run on other platforms with little modifications. Specifically, it could run on Android, Linux, Mac OSX, Apple iOS and PSP. We will try to investigate each case and see if only slight modifications you can play on these platforms.

But as we say, because of the tight budget that we have requested, we can not support different versions of the game in each of the operating systems, but we will try that with minor modifications you can enjoy it in other environments 😉
